Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
At Centre dentaire Fancelli, the technology we use helps us to optimize treatment planning and make your dental appointments more efficient. Digital scans and x-rays allow us to show you any issue related to your oral health, in addition to guiding you through your treatment plan.
We are committed to providing you with dental care that meets your expectations, and we want to ensure you are fully informed about your oral health.
Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays generate highly detailed computer images of your teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures. The results of the x-rays are projected onto a screen almost immediately and recorded. This technology allows your dentist to examine parts of your mouth not visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic X-Rays
With panoramic x-rays, your dentist captures a complete image of your mouth - including your teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and sinus and nasal structures. They are often used to help plan treatments such as prosthetics, implants, or braces.
Dental Lasers
Lasers are used in both soft and hard tissue procedures. They help reduce pain and the number of dental procedures patients need to have. Our dentists use lasers to treat periodontal disease, complete gum grafts, and perform other procedures.
iTero 3D Intraoral Scanner
Fast and precise, the iTero® scanner takes very precise 3D impressions of the anatomical structures in your oral cavity. It allows for better planning of orthodontic treatments, avoids subsequent adjustments and creates transparent Invisalign aligners.
Oral Cancer Screening Device
Oral cancer can develop in many places such as the throat, tongue, lips, palate, salivary glands, and tonsils. VELscope® is a new, non-invasive technology that can detect the presence of abnormal tissue at an early stage. A mucous membrane examination using the VELsocpe® takes only a few minutes and is performed without pain or discomfort.
Cone Beam Cat Scan
This special type of x-ray machine is called cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). It produces 3D images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve pathways and bones in the craniofacial region in a single scan. The images generated by the scanner allow better treatment planning, such as airway analysis for treatment of snoring and sleep apnea.
